Okay okay

As the title oh so cleverly aludes to, we're okay.

Things have been real busy -a bit tooo busy actually. Been a whirlwind of packing, (we move out of our rented apartment tomorrow, part of the resurgent relive-in-with-parents generation because we refuse to pay anything more than $2,000 in rent, and these days, that gets you not very far at all)

It's back to Gene's parents' place. We've basically taken over three bedrooms. We're getting the attic, with the attached bath, his old bedroom is now a walk in wardrobe, or it will be after the wardrobe and the clothes get to his place, and his study... his going to be my study.
Dunno how or why his parents let us do this to them.

Mom's still a bit fragile. she's living day to day, in her own words: Am trying to encourage her to think beyond this year, what she wants to do in her later years.

I'm starting work on monday (realise that there were a lot of things I haven't done, including going to the dentist and hairdressers - my coiff's a mess). I'll have to be in a suit with full closed toe shoes. Yup, welcome to the corporate world.

And oh, okay okay, am succumbing to the nagging to post something up on the blog.

Yesterday, Gene turned 37! didn't organise a big ass thing - just some of his work mates for wine.
Must do a huge ass party like mad thing a la his infamous 33rd - er, you will know what I;m talking about if you were there. But getting old lah, no energy to go do this kind of thing liao.

Anyway, gotta run. More things to do...

HAPPY BURFDAE GENE!!!! We must have a single malt soon! If the, ehem, corporate chick can make it.....

Oi Corporate Chick... Where's the update on the new job, new home etc???? And I thought journalism had kept us busy.....
