Long weekend
It struck me: I actually have my weekends back again, like every other normal proletariat worker.
No more guessing and second guessing whether I'd be put on duty (yaay), no more freaking out about the strength of my news pages on monday -- whomever was duty editing on Sunday, and if you're reading this, it was a real struggle to find Home Cover right? Cheap haircuts at a Bedok reservoir shop?? on H1? erh...okaayyy, but man
The weekend was suitably debauched: Friday night, it was yoga and then drinks at a very nice Klee on Portsdown road. Definitely loved the whole experience - bespoke cocktails etc.
Saturday: a tough yoga class, fab fried chicken at lucky plaza, shopping, and I - the bimbo that I am - went to get my hair blown out and styled. Very gratifying to receive the comments I did - but one DID go "You must be in PR".... errhhh. Then, there were drinks on Sat night - we were trying to relive our halycon days of youth - with classmates from a decade ago. Hence my current vocab = we were shouting insults over the phone at one of our mates who decided that he had to attend an auction instead - calling him a bourgeois sellout. hahahah
Sunday - simply too much pain to exercise. So the proletariat bourgeoisie that we are, we went hunting for cars - well, more like we went oogling at cars. Then dinner with mom - which was fab. Then, sat down for beer at Red Dot brewhouse at Dempsey. Well, the beer is nothing if not novel - there's a green one, they call... monster green. Not too expensive, so hummm.. will remain an option, provided one can get parking space there.
(can u tell there's a pattern already, drinks, eat, drinks, drinks...).
Then last night we had a meal to end all meals. Am still full from yesterday's crabs, sambal stingray, mantous etc etc. yes, F-A-T is a big bugbear now.
Okay, now, after my happy three days, its back to the grind. Blagh.
