I know you wouldn't have known that going by the postings, but yes, we're good.
Eating a whole bunch - rediscovering the wonders of hawker food here. Just back from Zion Road's char kuay teow; or luak, prawn mee and ter huang kiam chye.
Yes, that IS a lot.
Well, been working a lot of nights - somehow have been perenially short handed all of August and now, still working 3 or 4 nights per week AND sundays.
A six-day work week sucks - Mayo-ites, how the heck do you do it?
Everyone's been commenting on the sudden sprouting of white hair on my head, and i have a terrible breakout. I attribute it to the 1001 stresses of being in charge of the darned paper at nights!
Plus, my sleep cycle's gone all wonky - still trying to get up early enough to work out though despite the fact that I only sleep at 3 or 4. But of course, sometimes it simply doesn't work.
G and I don't get to see each other very much anymore. But that's okay, he's got studying to do (sommore exams in Berlin next month!) -- planning to go along and chill out for a bit. I might not walk Berlin a lot methinks, probably will want to sit in a beer garten - the idea of a huge beer and a good book sounds REALLY good for some reason. Gene can go on his conference and I'll cuddle up to a good weiss. *heh*
But today, I decided that a 10 hour day was decent and left at 8 pm! Yay! *laughs*
But its not all been about work - we had a few nights out with May Ling who visited from Rochester; there were a couple of nice fancy parties at Sentosa's il Lido, and there was this bash on the beach as well; followed by a night out at Clarke Quay.
Dunno whether you've heard of nightlife.sg? They've got a pretty good plan to drive up hits on the site: A photog comes around to the nightspot, takes a head shot or two, hands you a card and tells you to check out the site. Pretty good plan huh?
Well, China bar was fun anyway. Good music. Think we'll be back.
Sigh, wANT... no NEEEEEED holiday pref with day-long spa experience thrown in...
